Welcome! I’m Addy Roy, a high school senior/Class of 2027, exploring the world of Mechanical Engineering. This blog is where I share my journey - hands-on projects, reflections from programs like the ImpactLab at Wentworth Institute of Technology, and ideas about renewable energy, design, and technology etc.
My goal is to connect curiosity with impact: to take apart the world around me, understand how it works, and imagine how it could work better. Whether it’s rebuilding an engine, experimenting with new materials, or thinking about sustainable solutions, I use this space to document what I’m learning and where I’m headed.

Purdue/Engineering Experiences
If someone asked me what I brought home from Purdue, I wouldn't say it was a trophy -even though bringing home first place was certainly memorable.
I'd say I brought home a new way of thinking.
The best engineers aren't the ones who get everything right on the first attempt.
They're the ones who stay curious long enough to understand why something didn't work and determined enough to make it better.
